Although the Department of Political Science has been a hotbed of critical thinking, argument, and exploration of the ever-changing political landscape. This magazine is evidence of our students and faculty's enthusiasm and commitment to addressing the problems of our day, as well as the commitment to our students' demands to keep up with the technological changes in the world.
With political dynamics increasingly shaping societies, nourishing informed discussions tend to be more rather than less important. I invite you to read the news, look through the articles, and listen to the presentations included in this edition of the magazine to help you better understand and give ideas based on your personal point of view. This is a source of information and a catalyst for action.

As one of Pakistan's oldest government institutes for political studies, the Department of Political Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore, retains dedication to an academic, research, and practice-based policy-integrated culture. We encourage the development of evaluative and critical thought processes, deep understanding of political systems, and analysis of governance, diplomacy, and international relations with critical thinking.
With the world changing rapidly today, political science remains fundamental in creating informed citizens and competent leaders. Our full-time faculty are eminent scholars and researchers, and we promise rigorous and active engagement in learning. We provide a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs poised to enable students to understand and impact the political environment of today’s world.
Moreover, members of our department actively work with national and international policymakers, civil society, and research institutions to increase our understanding and publication of various political and governance issues. We also support and motivate students to broaden their intellectual scope by participating in debates, seminars, and other research and co-curricular activities.
